Terence Crawford remains unbeaten after Felix Diaz's corner stopped their super-lightweight title match after the 10th round.

Successfully defending his WBC and WBO belts, Crawford had dominated after a couple of close early rounds, causing Diaz's left eye to swell and close, making him helpless to prevent Crawford's lightning-fast combinations.

Crawford (31-0, 22 KOs) toyed with Diaz in the 10th, backing him into the corner and then, rather than throw any punches, he instead simply patted him on the head.

Crawford then unloaded two hard shots towards the end of the round, prompting trainer Joel Diaz to tell referee Steve Willis his fighter could no longer continue.

It was the first time that Diaz (19-2, 9 KOs) has lost at 140 pounds, and the first time his corner has been forced to stop a fight. The shorter man had tried to get inside early on but was kept away by Crawford, though he landed a couple of hard shots when he closed the distance in the second.

Crawford seized control from there and rarely let Diaz close again, using left uppercuts and combinations and putting his four-inch reach and three-inch height advantages to good use.

Crawford stuck his tongue out at Diaz after one exchange in the seventh, showing no fear, and Diaz's face was swollen by the ninth, with ringside doctors checking his eye before that ill-fated 10th round.

Afterwards, his trainer said: "I stopped the fight because I didn't want him to take any more punishment. Enough was enough."

If Crawford elects to move up to welterweight, he could seek a match-up with Manny Pacquiao, who was one of a number of names he mentioned in the ring after Saturday's victory.

Promoter Bob Arum said Crawford would return this summer and they could look to unify the titles against Julius Indongo, who holds the WBA and IBF 140-pound titles, while Crawford also mentioned Keith Thurman.
