Tony Bellew is an 'interesting' potential opponent for WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, says promoter Lou DiBella.
The Merseysider is pursuing a world title fight, or a rematch with David Haye, after confirming he will continue his career at heavyweight and he issued a typically fierce verbal challenge to Wilder last week.
Both men were involved in a heated exchange after the Anthony Joshua-Wladimir Klitschko weigh-in, although they adopted a more respectful approach when reunited at ringside for the Wembley fight.
Wilder welcomed a fight with Bellew to set the scene for a unification clash with Joshua and DiBella, who works closely with the 'Bronze Bomber', is happy to build that rivalry between America and Britain.
DiBella exclusively told Sky Sports: "This is a fight that's US versus UK and a fight with Tony certainly might help that story line right? I think it's certainly interesting.
"Eddie Hearn knows how to reach me."
Bellew has also been linked with WBO champion Joseph Parker, who defends his title against Razvan Cojanu on Saturday night, and his promotional team would be open to a future fight.
"It depends on the terms. Hard to comment until we've had an offer," said David Higgins, a director at Duco Events.
"He's definitely someone we would consider.
"The heavyweight division is strong in Europe and England, in particular. We have definitely got our eyes on the northern hemisphere and the only way to become a big star in the UK is by knocking out Englishmen - and that is what we plan to do."
