Carl Frampton will comprehensively win his Las Vegas rematch with Leo Santa Cruz, says his manager Barry McGuigan.
The Belfast man claimed the WBA 'super' featherweight title with a thrilling points win over Santa Cruz in July and they will meet again at the MGM Grand in the early hours of January 29, live on Sky Sports.
Frampton received a majority decision, with one of the judges scoring the fight a draw, and Cyclone Promotions' McGuigan believes the champion will win the return bout in dominant fashion.
"I am expecting a better Carl Frampton in this one," he told Sky Sports.
"He made a lot of mistakes in that first fight but of course, he still won. This time I am looking for less mistakes and a comprehensive victory.
"Carl could fight Santa Cruz every day of the week and twice on Sunday and every fight will be fantastic."
Frampton is expected to head out to America before the end of December to begin the countdown to headlining at the iconic venue in Las Vegas.
McGuigan lost his WBA featherweight title to Steve Cruz at Caesars Palace back in 1986, but is happy to head to the west coast before bringing 'The Jackal' back to Belfast later this year.
"People always ask me about that fight and my memories about it, but they don't matter because Carl Frampton is a completely different fighter," said McGuigan.
"We're more than happy to be going to Vegas. We didn't want the return in Belfast. There isn't a big enough indoor arena and we would need to fight outside and even if this was in the summer, you can't guarantee the weather.
"We want to go back there after he's won the rematch on January 28 and I am very confident that will happen.
"Carl is 29, so we have to do things intelligently. He's been in camp for almost two months already and we will go out to America to finish it a month out.
"He is in great shape and you will again see what a great talent he is."
McGuigan was speaking to Sky Sports at a German Doner Kebab UK event in Kilburn, London.
