Promoter Eddie Hearn praised Katie Taylor's 'perfect' start to her professional career and hopes to guide her to a world title in 2017.
Ireland's amateur star made an impressive transition to the professional ranks as she marked her debut with a third round stoppage win over Karina Kopinska at Wembley Arena.
Taylor returns to action on the undercard of Anthony Joshua's IBF title defence against Eric Molina on December 10, live on Sky Sports Box Office, and Hearn believes she will be ready to challenge for a world title within 12 months.
"It couldn't have gone any better. Huge pressure on her shoulders tonight, not just to get the win, but for the performance," said Hearn.
"We needed a good start tonight, because you've got to get hold of these non-believers, and let them know that Katie Taylor is here to fight.
"Forget women's boxing, forget men's boxing, it's just boxing, and Katie Taylor can fight, she can entertain.
"She's going to be on the Anthony Joshua card on December 10, two weeks from now.
"We're going to box on the east coast of America next year and then we will be back in Dublin to challenge for a world title next year.
"This is going to be a great, great journey, and that was the absolute perfect, perfect performance."
