The British Boxing Board of Control has requested that Dillian Whyte and Dereck Chisora do not have any further 'face-offs' ahead of their grudge fight next month.
The British heavyweights will settle their bitter rivalry on the undercard of Anthony Joshua's IBF title defence against Eric Molina at Manchester Arena on December 10, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
Security staff had to separate Whyte and Chisora when tensions boiled over during a recent filming of 'The Gloves Are Off' and the Board wants to prevent them from going head to head again in fight week.
Chisora was famously kept apart from David Haye by a steel fence during the bad-tempered build-up to their domestic clash in 2012, which ended in a fifth-round stoppage win for 'The Hayemaker.'
And promoter Eddie Hearn is looking at security measures which will allow the feuding duo to be brought together before they share the ring.
Hearn told Sky Sports: "The board have requested that we do not have any further face-offs between Dillian and Dereck for safety reasons.
"I have spoken to them and I do feel it's important to have one for the fans' build-up and am working on ways to come up with the correct security measures that will satisfy the board."
