Badou Jack jokingly branded James DeGale a diva ahead of their super-middleweight unification showdown.
Jack (20-1-2-KO12) will put his WBC belt on the line when he takes on IBF title holder DeGale on January 14 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
The rival champions, vying to be considered the world's No 1 168lbs fighter, met face to face at a press conference on Wednesday night to formally announce the fight.
Floyd Mayweather-promoted Jack used the occasion to light-heartedly taunt DeGale by handing him a tiara which had 'Diva DeGale' written on the box.
Jack said: "This is going to be one hell of a fight. I've been begging for it to happen all summer and it's finally here.
"DeGale is the real deal, he's a road warrior who comes to America to fight the best and this is the two best fighting each other, but I'm the number one.
"I respect him and there are no hard feelings or disrespect - it is business on fight night."
Jack then handed the Brit the tiara, saying: "Mayweather Promotions, we have a little gift for James DeGale."
DeGale responded in good spirits and appreciatively accepted the gift.
