Tyron Zeuge secured a dramatic late stoppage to win his rematch with Giovanni De Carolis and take the Italian's world super-middleweight title.

De Carolis retained his WBA 'World' belt with a majority draw when the two met back in July, but a late Zeuge assault saw their second fight in Potsdam waved off with just 19 seconds of the final round remaining.

Zeuge, who extended his unbeaten record to 19-01, put De Carolis down in the 12th after a contest which for long periods was every bit as closely-fought as their summer meeting.

And with the 24-year-old German continuing to pound the champion, referee Roberto Ramirez stepped in to signal the end.

Zeuge is promoted by the Sauerland brothers, whose other fighters include George Groves, the Londoner who has fought for three super-middleweight titles without success.
