Martin Murray believes a revenge win over Arthur Abraham will put him back in the world-title mix.
The super-middleweight takes on his former foe in Monte Carlo on November 12, live on Sky Sports.
Murray (33-4-1-KO16) lost his WBO super-middleweight title challenge to then-holder Abraham (45-5-KO30) back in November 2015 and will be back in the ring for the first since being beaten by George Groves in June. The 34-year-old has refused to rule out a fifth world-title challenge if he gains revenge.
"I thought I'd won the first Abraham fight," Murray told Sky Sports' Andy Scott. "There are regrets I've got about that fight and like I said I thought I'd won it, but I maybe left it too close to call in Germany, so I've got a wrong that I need to put right.
"It's a big fight and to be honest, I need it to get up for it after the Groves fight because it took a lot out of me getting beat and my motivation was at an all-time low, so I need this.
"Its a big fight and it puts me straight back in the mix."
Murray still believes he did enough to win the first encounter with Abraham that saw him miss out to a split decision, out in Niedersachsen, Germany.
He said he was never going to fight abroad on the back of that defeat, but having boxed in Monte Carlo three times before - including taking Gennady Golovkin to 11 rounds in February 2015 - Murray had no problem joining a bill that also includes Jamie McDonnell, Luis Ortiz's European debut and Stephen Smith's second world-title challenge.
"It's neutral ground and if anything it's more in favour of me," said Murray. "But I've still got to go over there and win convincingly.
"I know what I need to do and the way things are going and what is going through my head I know I will go over there and I will beat Abraham more convincingly and put myself back in the mix for another world title."
