Carl Frampton has confirmed a deal has been agreed for a rematch with Leo Santa Cruz.
Frampton claimed a majority decision over WBA featherweight champion Santa Cruz in New York in the summer to become a two-weight world champion.
"Done deal! The rematch vs @leosantacruz2 is on!!! More news to come soon #AndStill," tweeted Frampton.
The undefeated Belfast boxer handed the highly-rated Mexican the first defeat of his professional career in his first fight at 126lbs.
Victory over Santa Cruz saw Frampton become Northern Ireland's first two-weight world champion as he extended his professional record to 23 straight wins while the dethroned champion fell to 32-1-1.
The 'Jackal', who was the clear winner on two of the judges' scorecards, with the third scoring it a draw, has now kept his word after promising 'El Terremoto' a rematch following the win.
"This is a dream come true for me. As a young boy I dreamed of winning a world title and now I'm a two-weight world champion," said Frampton at the time.
"I'd love to give Leo a rematch because he gave me my chance. I'd love to have it in Belfast and show the public how great a warrior he is."
IBF featherweight champion Lee Selby has targeted an all-British unification fight with Frampton, but must firstly make a title defence against mandatory challenger Jonathan Victor Barros in December.
No date or venue has been confirmed and Frampton is due to announce further details later on Thursday.
