Kell Brook and Gennady Golovkin weigh in 30 days before their world middleweight title fight.

Kell Brook says he is feeling "fantastic" after weighing in right on the 176lbs check weight limit with exactly a month to go until his showdown with Gennady Golovkin.

Brook (36-0-KO25), the reigning IBF welterweight champion, is preparing to challenge fellow undefeated fighter and WBA 'Super', IBF and WBC middleweight champion Golovkin (35-0-KO32) at The O2 on September 10, live on Sky Sports Box Office

Both men were required to weigh in on Wednesday, 31 days before the bout, and could afford to be 10 per cent over the fight weight limit of 160lbs, with Golovkin tipping the scales at 165lbs.

"I'm feeling fantastic and I am this weight because I want to be this weight. I am eating non-stop and I am able to push myself very hard in the gym," Brook told Sky Sports News HQ.

"I am these extra few pounds because I want to be these extra few pounds and I want to be this heavy. I will be bringing the speed as well as the power into this fight.

"That speed is there and we are adding extra power to it. I am more durable because I am at a natural weight, so I'll be using my feet as well as my speed and power in this fight. I am going to shock the world baby.

"I am not making welterweight 147lbs, I was always draining myself jumping on and off the scales. This time I don't have to worry about the weight, I can concentrate on technique, power and skill. Come fight night, I'll be peaking and ready to fly."

Kell Brook will be taking inspiration from Mike Tyson ahead of his clash with Gennady Golovkin

"He is a very, very good fighter and I have asked a lot of people I respect in this game if there's any faults they can find of him, and they can't really.

"So, I am fighting the man and at the end of the day no one else will fight him, I am running towards him. I want to fight the best out there and I am ready to lock horns with him September 10 and show the world what I am about."

Golovkin said: "I'm happy because one month before the fight, today is weighting day and today [I am] my perfect weight.

"You know, 165… I have one month, this is nothing. It feels great just smiling, beautiful weather, beautiful day.

"I have just two months - in the first month, just power train and my weight is 165. I eat four times per day, it feels very good."
