Tony Bellew has warned cruiserweight rival BJ Flores he will "smash" him and "playboy" friend David Haye in a fresh war of words on social media.
WBC world cruiserweight champion 'Bomber' responded to the 37-year-old American calling him out on Twitter and also took a typical swipe at bitter British foe Haye, the former undisputed world No 1 at 200lbs.
Flores (32-2-1-KO20) - real name Benjamin Flores - wants to challenge the Liverpudlian in October, insisting Bellew is not "half the fighter" he thinks he is and has a "glass jaw".
But Bellew (27-2-1-KO17) not only made it clear he calls the shots now he owns a world title, but also had a typical dig at 'El Peligroso' and friend Haye and their lifestyles out of the ring.
He tweeted: "Listen party fiend! I call the shots! You know why? Cos I faced the guy NO ONE wanted to face! Keep partying playboy!
"Let me get 1 thing straight I'll smash you and your playboy friend the #B****FromBermondsey [Haye]."
Flores, who is currently training alongside former world cruiserweight champion Steve Cunningham, says he started calling out Bellew as soon as he announced he was moving up to the 200lbs division.
He is yet to fight for a world title, with Bellew expected to confirm his first defence for early winter following his memorable win over Ilunga Makabu at Goodison Park in May to claim the WBC belt.
It was the first time Makubu had lost in 20 fights but Flores, who has not been stopped, claims he will be the toughest test Bellew has faced in and out of the ring.
He tweeted: "Sign the contract you b****. And we can see how tough you are at the pre-fight conference.
"You look like a teenage boy. Sign the contract."
Bellew, who has always said he would happily fight former undisputed cruiserweight world champion Haye, landed the parting social shot at Flores.
"Thanks... I punch like one too! Remember one thing! I make the decisions not you! I believe I earned that."
