Tony Bellew had the ear of David Haye after finding a cardboard cut-out of his rival - but chose to skip the sweet nothings and get down to business.
In the immediate aftermath of his WBC world cruiserweight title glory at Goodison Park, Bellew (27-2-1-KO17) slammed former two-weight world champion Haye (28-2-KO26).
With the challenge laid down in no uncertain terms, Haye issued a riposte via social media accepting - leaving boxing fans to guess if and at what particular catchweight the contest would take place.
Bellew then visited Sky Sports Studios later in the week and was unimpressed by the sight of a cardboard mock-up of the Bermondsey fighter.
Leaning in close to deliver his message with the famous green WBC belt hoisted over his shoulder, Bellew was in no mood for niceties as he unloaded his latest expletive-laden salvo.
