Badou Jack is willing to travel to the UK to face James DeGale in a world title unification bout "as long as the judges are fair".

WBC world super-middleweight champion Jack (20-1-2-KO12) clung on to his title via a majority draw with Lucian Bute in Washington DC on April 30 but both he and his promoter Floyd Mayweather were left unhappy with the judges' decision.

The Swede told OnTheRopesBoxing.com of the Bute decision: "It's pretty bad, these judges didn't have much experience and they did a bad job. It is what it is, it's not my fault, it's not Bute's fault. I still got my belt.

I believe I have the skills and the heart and I believe I'm gonna beat him.

"I don't know if they're going to protest, but I clearly won the fight. We [have] still got the belt and we're going to fight James DeGale next for the unification fight."

DeGale (23-1-KO14), who defended his IBF title against Rogelio Medina on the same night, was quickly in the ring after Jack's bout to discuss details of a high-profile clash.

When asked if he was prepared to stage that fight in the UK, Jack said: "As long as the judges are fair. They weren't fair over here either so you never know. Most likely it's going to happen in Vegas but you never know. I have to wait and see what Floyd says but I'm ready to go over there if I have to.

"If it was just only up to me and we get paid the same, of course I want to fight in Vegas so I can have my family here. I got some fans in the UK so it really doesn't matter, we'll see.

"It would be a tough fight for me, a very tough fight for him too but I believe I have the skills and the heart and I believe I'm going to beat him."

Jack won the title by outpointing Anthony Dirrell in April 2015 and made his first defence with a split decision success over George Groves on the following September.
