Gennady Golovkin will not meet Saul Alvarez at catchweight.
Two of the biggest stars in boxing have been continually linked with a massive showdown this year, even though both have fights coming up.
Golovkin, the WBA 'Super' and IBF king, defends against mandatory challenger Dominic Wade this weekend, while Alvarez puts his WBC title on the line against Amir Khan on May 7.
If the two champions are victorious, then Alvarez had suggested that he will share the ring with Golovkin, but only at a 155lbs catchweight, 4lbs below the middleweight limit.
When asked by Sky Sports if he would meet 'Canelo' at another weight, Golovkin said: "No.
"He is a champion at middleweight, at 160lbs, but at 154lbs? 155lbs or 167lbs? It's terrible.
"I am ready to fight anybody but Canelo isn't ready. I'll bring my belt - that's my style.
"It may be a little disappointing because it's not respectful for boxing or to boxing fans. Show me who is number one. Show me who's the best."
Golovkin has refused to dismiss the threat of unbeaten opponent Wade ahead of their clash in California on Saturday.
"He's a great boxer, seriously," Golovkin said. "He has good experience and I don't think it's an easy fight for us.
"But we will have a good time!"
