Nicola Adams booked her place at the Rio Olympics after cruising to victory at the European qualifying tournament in Samsun, Turkey, on Friday.
The 33-year-old scored a unanimous-decision win over Marielle Hansen of Norway to ensure she will defend her 2012 gold medal in Brazil.
It means Adams will get the chance to become the first British boxer to win two Olympic titles since Harry Mallin in Paris in 1924.
Adams started aggressively against her experienced opponent, repelling Hansen's advances and taking it clearly on the scorecard.
Despite getting a little wayward with her shots in the middle rounds, Adams finished with a flourish to complete a shut-out victory and become the first GB boxer to qualify for Rio.
Adams said: "It feels really good to know that I will be defending my title in Rio - it is no longer the Road to Rio, I am going to Rio
"I've qualified and I am ready to defend my title and hopefully become a double Olympic champion.
"Through this tournament I feel like I've boxed really well and I've gone from strength to strength. I have not taken anyone lightly and have treated every competition as a final.
"Every time I get in the ring I have to give 110 per cent because my opponents have nothing to lose and everything to gain so I have to make sure I go in there with my A-game and come away with the victory."
However, Ireland's Katie Taylor, who was also one win away from Rio, suffered a surprise loss to Azerbaijani fighter Yana Alexseevna.
Defeat for Taylor means that she must now reach the semi-finals of next month's AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships in the Kazakh capital of Astana to book her ticket on the plane to Brazil.
It was the Bray fighter's first loss since defeat at a multi-nation tournament in Bulgaria in 2011. Taylor is the reigning Irish, European, World and Olympic 60kg champion.
