Charles Martin believes a showdown with fellow heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury could be even bigger than his fight with Anthony Joshua on April 9.

The IBF world heavyweight champion is currently training at Big Bear in California ahead of his first title defence, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

Martin and Fury met after the American known as 'Prince' won the IBF title by stopping Vyacheslav Glazkov in three rounds at the Barclay Center, Brooklyn, in January.

Tyson keeps on winning and I am going to keep on winning. We would probably make like $15million.

Fury and his trainer and uncle Peter Fury believe the southpaw champion will cause Joshua problems and Martin admits he would like to fight his new fan next - and maybe make even more money.

"That fight would be major," he told boxingscene.com.

"That would be really, really big.

"He is over there in the UK too and he has a lot of fans and he has his greatness. I take my hat off to him, I hear he even has me favourite in this fight."

Martin is expected to return to the UK in the next couple of weeks and made it clear he is not looking beyond the Joshua fight, but admits the thought of fighting Fury for a possible unification fight is appealing.

"Right now I am lifting him and he [Tyson] is lifting me," he added.

"Tyson keeps on winning and I am going to keep on winning. We would probably make like $15million (£10.5m). I am not focused on nothing but the task at hand, which is AJ, but that would be really big."

Watch Martin v Joshua exclusively live on Sky Sports Box Office from The O2, London, Saturday, April 9.
