Luke Campbell is determined to bounce back from his first career defeat when he faces Gary Sykes in Sheffield on March 26.

The Olympic champion was knocked down and outpointed by Yvan Mendy in December 2015 and returns in an all-Yorkshire affair against former British super-featherweight king Sykes (28-4-KO6) on the undercard of Kell Brook v Kevin Bizier.

"I've made plenty of changes since the Mendy fight," said Campbell (12-1-KO10). "I wanted to get straight back into action and I wasn't interested in an eight or 10 round comeback fight.

"I wanted to get straight back into big fights and Gary is a fight I can really get my teeth into. Gary will have plenty of support and I'm expecting a tough fight and a great performance."

Lightweight Campbell, 28, reacted to the Mendy defeat by hiring a new trainer in Jorge Rubio and is conducting the majority of his preparations in Miami, Florida.
