Kell Brook believes Amir Khan will not beat Saul Alvarez, but has wished him 'all the best'

Kell Brook believes his all-British showdown with Amir Khan can still happen.

The IBF welterweight world champion believes his rival will lose to WBC middleweight champion Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez on May 7, but has not given up hope of facing him.

"I wish him all the best for this fight," Brook told Sky Sports News HQ.

"It's a dream fight because Canelo is up there as one of the best in the boxing world, so let's see what he can do with him.

I respect him for taking the fight and once he's got the fight out the way, who knows? We could still sit down and make the fight happen.

"I respect him for taking the fight and once he's got the fight out the way, who knows? We could still sit down and make the fight happen."

Brook defends his world title against mandatory challenger Kevin Bizier in Sheffield on March 26.

The 29-year-old was at the Floyd Mayweather show in his hometown on Sunday evening, and also suggested that he would love to face the former world No 1 if he comes out of retirement - but admits a summer showdown with Khan at Wembley Stadium was the one he wanted.
