Joshua (14-0-KO14) and Whyte (16-0-KO13) have endured a fiery relationship in recent months, the latter beating the Olympic champion before he became one of the biggest names in British sport.
Whyte says it will be a repeat performance while Joshua sees it as another step towards the ultimate prize, the heavyweight championship of the world.
Anthony Joshua v Dillian Whyte (British and Commonwealth heavyweight title) will be live from the O2 Arena, London, on Saturday, December 12, with the following undercard: Chris Eubank Jr v Gary O'Sullivan (WBA middleweight title eliminator), Tony Bellew v Mateusz Masternak (Vacant European cruiserweight title), Kevin Mitchell v Ismael Barroso (WBA Interim lightweight title), Luke Campbell v TBC (12 Rounds lightweight) and Josh Warrington v Jorge Sanchez (WBC International featherweight title).
The event will start at 5.00pm, Saturday, December 12, on Sky Sports Box Office (Channel 491) and Sky Sports Box Office HD (Channel 492), until Midnight, Saturday, December 12.
Repeats will be three-hour duration, from 9.00am, 12.00pm, 3.00pm, 6.00pm and 9.00pm (last showing) on Sunday, December 13, on Sky Sports Box Office (Channel 491) and Sky Sports Box Office HD (Channel 492).
The event is priced at £16.95 for UK customers, €21.95 for Republic of Ireland customers, up until Midnight, Friday, December 11. Thereafter £16.95 / €21.95 (ROI) across all "self-service" bookings (remote control / online) and £21.95 / €26.95 (ROI) if booked via the phone (either IVR or agent) but note an additional £2 booking fee if via an agent still applies.
