Chris Eubank Sr - now known as 'English' - has warned boxers and boxing journalists against the use of expletives.
The former world middleweight king is currently helping to steer the career of his son - WBA interim middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr.
'English' made his disapproval of the language used by one boxing journalist known during a debate on social media last month and, speaking to Sky Sports, has reiterated his desire to keep swear words out of the sport.
He said: "It's what attracts the fans and what boxers are trying to attract is money for what they do. In order to attract sponsorship, you can't use that type of language.
Any journalist using that language in boxing is bringing our sport in to disrepute. The boxers do themselves no favours when they use that language.

"There are youngsters looking at us and how we conduct ourselves. We are standard bearers whether we like it or not. Boxers are looked up to by youngsters. Everybody understands fighting but the idea is to do it like a gentleman.
"It doesn't make sense that fighters and journalists in boxing use bad language. It's not necessary. I don't remember Marvin Hagler or Muhammad Ali using bad language. Ladies are watching and we have to be well-mannered to our ladies, our mothers and to our elders.
"There's no place for it. Some will not listen. Those people who do not listen will not, in my view, get sponsorship. If they do, it will not be the type of sponsorship that's huge.
"It's just bad practice. It's good business not to use it. It's very simple..."
One man clearly not on his Christmas card list is Gary 'Spike' O'Sullivan, who is set to take on Eubank Jr on the undercard of Anthony Joshua v Dillian Whyte at The O2 on December 12.
'English' said of the Irishman: "I actually had to block him from my Twitter site because he's attacking Junior through my site. You can't do that. It's bad manners. There's no class in that. Talk to the man directly.
"It'll be a contest I think the public are going to like. He's been itching for Junior for all these years and it's not like we've been hiding. It was offered to him before and he side-stepped but now he's been promised what he asked for, the best man shall win."
Eubank Jr makes his Sky Sports debut on October 24 when he takes on America's Tony Jeter on the Kell Brook v Diego Chaves undercard.
