David Allen says a domestic clash with David Price is a 'perfect' next fight, but admits the Liverpudlian could be forced to consider retirement if he suffers defeat.
'White Rhino' hopes to return this summer following his dramatic third-round stoppage win over Lucas Browne at The O2 last weekend.
An initial offer has been made for the Price fight, according to Allen, who hopes the former British and Commonwealth champion will agree terms.
"David Price, I believe, is looking likely to be next," Allen told Sky Sports. "If he loses to me, he'll have to retire, so he'll have to think twice about it, but I think it's the biggest fight at domestic level."
Directing a message to Price, he added: "I have all the respect in the world for what you've achieved and how you keep coming back, but I would love the fight. I would love the chance to fight him.
"I believe he's the perfect fighter for me. Right now, he's made for me. I'm not really selling it to him, but it's a perfect fight for me."
Allen took his career to new heights with victory over Browne, a former WBA 'regular' champion, and victory over Price would allow 'White Rhino' to set his ambitions even higher.
"I'm the favourite in the fight," said Allen. "Let's look at our last few fights, I'm on a four-win streak.
"I've beat a former world heavyweight champion, an unbeaten fighter in the Argentinian, Nebo. I'm the favourite. I'm young and I'm hungry, I'm fresh.
"It's a four-round shootout I believe, and it will be exciting.
"I'm the biggest fight for him out there. The winner out of me and him is one fight away from a world title fight."
