Tyson Fury's future remains unclear as the British Boxing Board of Control are yet to receive a date for the resumption of his UK Anti-Doping hearing.
The former world heavyweight champion had hoped to return to boxing this year, but is still waiting for a final ruling from UKAD on a suspended drugs ban after the hearing was adjourned last month.
Fury has not fought since he claimed three world titles with a points win over Wladimir Klitschko in 2015, and is unable to plan a comeback fight with the British Boxing Board of Control yet to be notified about when proceedings will continue.Robert Smith, General Secretary of the BBBofC, told Sky Sports: "It was adjourned and they need a new date.
"All these legal cases take time and obviously it's a matter of now getting all the parties together, and obviously they are dealing with legal representatives, barristers etc and it's difficult to get dates. It's quite common."
He reiterated his desire to face Joshua, but the current WBA 'super' and IBF champion has urged his rival to regain full fitness before he thinks about a British battle.
"I don't think Tyson can lace his own boots at the minute," said Joshua. "When Tyson is fit, when he's ready, we'll be ready."
