Britain's Cameron Norrie will play Croatia's world No 18 Borna Coric after defeating Di Wu in the first round of the Shenzhen Open on Monday.

Ranked No 73 in the world, British No 2 Norrie beat wildcard Wu of China 6-2 6-2 and will next play Coric, who received a first-round bye.

Former world No 1 Andy Murray - now ranked No 311 - is due to play No 340 Zhizhen Zhan on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, on the WTA Tour, British No 1 Johanna Konta was beaten in straight sets in the first round of the Wuhan Open.

Konta lost 7-5 6-4 to Australia's Ashleigh Barty, the 16th seed, in one hour and 40 minutes.
