John McEnroe says the Laver Cup could be incredible

Team World will welcome the return of tennis legend John McEnroe as their captain for the second edition of the Laver Cup in Chicago.

The seven-time Grand Slam champion is the ultimate team player who can use his vast experience to influence the younger members of his team.

"When you have a guy like that you can learn from, it's a massive learning experience," said 23-year-old Australian ace Nick Kyrgios.

"He (McEnroe) was a great tennis player who can give me plenty of tips for my game. We both play aggressive so I'm looking forward to playing for a captain like him."

The American also recalls his 1980 Wimbledon final defeat against Borg - arguably the greatest match of all time. And how he ended the Swede's five-year reign at the All England Club a year later.

"The key is to know yourself and not compare yourself to anyone else."
