Milos Raonic has set up a Wimbledon rematch with John Isner after beating Stan Wawrinka in three sets.

The Canadian won 7-6 6-4 6-3 over Wawrinka to move into the last 16 on Friday.

Wawrinka, who has won the last four of his five previous matches against Raonic, was making his return to the site of his 2016 Triumph since undergoing knee surgery and managed encouraging victories in the first two rounds.

Speaking after his loss, the Swiss said: "For sure after Wimbledon I would have signed to be where I am right now. I think it's going really well. After a year I finally feel really good on the court."

Meanwhile, third-seed Juan Martin del Potro defeated Andy Murray's conqueror Fernando Verdasco 7-5 7-6 6-3.
