Britain's Cameron Norrie recorded the biggest win of his career as he upset second seed John Isner to reach the semi-finals of the Lyon Open on Thursday.
Norrie, 102nd in the world, beat No 10 Isner 7-6 (7-1) 6-4 to reach the last four of the clay-court event and will play Frenchman Gilles Simon for a place in Saturday's final.
Simon hit back from a set down to beat Kazakhstan's Mikhail Kukushkin 4-6 6-4 7-6 (7-5).
The 22-year-old has been on the crest of a wave since beating Spain's Roberto Bautista Agut during Great Britain's Davis Cup clash in February.
He won his first ATP doubles title when he partnered Kyle Edmund in Estoril earlier this month and has now landed his first win against a top 10 opponent in Isner.
"I'm so stoked with my performance today," Norrie said. "In the past I haven't been so good at playing guys with big serves.
"I remember watching Isner when I was younger. He was a big idol of mine. It's crazy to be competing against guys like that now."
Serbia's Dusan Lajovic overcame American Taylor Fritz 7-5 6-1 in the other quarter-final and will play Dominic Thiem or Guillermo Garcia-Lopez.
Top-seeded Austrian Thiem was locked at one set all with Spain's Garcia-Lopez before play was suspended due to bad light.
