Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal wowed the Rome crowd as they played out an incredible point in their semi-final

Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal played out an extraordinary point during their gladiatorial Rome Masters semi-final on Saturday.

Nadal closed in on an eighth title as he dismissed old rival Djokovic 7-6 (7-4) 6-3 to reach the final for a record-extending 10th time.

Nadal, still unbeaten in semi-finals at the Foro Italico, went toe-to-toe with the Serb in an exhilarating contest.

Their point in the seventh game of the first set summed up the determination to win a point between the two adversaries.
