Novak Djokovic has dropped one place to fifth in the ATP rankings, with Stanislas Wawrinka moving up to fourth.

Former world No 1 Djokovic is likely to fall further down the rankings by the end of the year after he announced he will not play again this season due to an elbow injury.

Andy Murray remains top ahead of Rafael Nadal, with eight-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer third.

Novak Djokovic has confirmed he will miss the US Open - and the rest of the season - due to an elbow injury which caused him to retire at the quarter-final stage of Wimbledon.

Germany's Alexander Zverev climbed three places to a career-high eighth.

But Leonardo Mayer was the biggest mover, with the Argentine climbing 89 places to 49th following his victory in the Hamburg Open.
