World No 1 Andy Murray is to donate his prize money from this week's Aegon Championships at Queen's to the victims of the Grenfell Tower disaster.
Tournament sources confirmed that the two-time Wimbledon champion plans to hand over his winnings from the grass court event - which will amount to £346,700 if he can claim the trophy for the sixth time in his career.
And tournament organisers will also make a sizeable contribution to the fund which has been set up to help victims of last week's horrific fire, which occurred at a tower block in North Kensington, two miles from the Queen's Club site.
At least 79 people were killed by the fire and hundreds of people have been left homeless.
Murray previously donated his 2013 Queen's Club winnings to Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea, which treated his good friend Ross Hutchins for cancer.
And the Brit is not the only sports star who is helping the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire.
Arsenal's Hector Bellerin is to donate £50 to the fund for every minute he plays for Spain at the ongoing U21 Euros and Manchester City and England forward Raheem Sterling will also be donating.
