Italy centre Michele Campagnaro and backs Phil Dollman and Olly Woodburn have signed new deals with Exeter Chiefs.
Campagnaro, 23, has agreed a one-year contract extension, while 31-year-old full-back Dollman and wing Woodburn, 25, have committed to two more seasons in Devon.
Exeter boss Rob Baxter insists Campagnaro never wanted to leave Sandy Park despite rumours of unrest.
He said: "I think some people thought there were issues between us, but that has never been the case, and Michele has never wanted to leave, and we have never wanted to let go of him.
"He is a great guy, he has worked exceptionally hard. He didn't come in post-World Cup (2015) expecting just to jump straight into the team.
"He knew there were a few things he would have to learn, and even though he speaks very good English, there is a difference between that and being communicated with in the hurly-burly of a Premiership rugby game, and having to process it all very quickly.
"I think he has done really well adapting to that and he is improving all the time. He has worked very hard to be as good a player as he can be, but he still has got massive improvement to make."
While Dollman has risen through the ranks as Exeter made the transition from the Championship to the Premiership, Woodburn joined the Chiefs from Bath.
Baxter believes both remain important parts of the Chiefs' backline.
"The best thing about Woody is that, the more minutes he plays, the better he gets," he added.
"He is becoming a guy who we can rely on to give us moments in a game that will create pressure and try-scoring opportunities.
"Phil is probably one of the most under-rated players we have had here at the club.
"I think he has still got a lot of rugby left in him. He is a highly skilled player, very brave, and he is a good guy to have around the club and he is one of those guys who make Exeter what it is."
The Chiefs, who defeated Newcastle 36-14 at the weekend, are away to the Leicester Tigers in the Aviva Premiership on Friday.
