French Top 14 giants Toulon have recruited Australian Ben Barba, who is switching codes from rugby league.
The 27-year-old was without a club after being released from his contract with Cronulla Sharks last November.
Barba was let go after testing positive for cocaine in the days after the team beat Melbourne Storm to end their 49-year NRL title drought in October.
Barba has joined Toulon for the rest of the season and could make his debut for the three-time European champions when the Top 14 resumes after the Six Nations break. Their next fixture is against Lyon on February 18.
