Glasgow v Leinster match postponed because of rain

By Paul Vinnell

Glasgow’s Guinness PRO12 match with Leinster has been postponed because of torrential rain.

The postponement of the game gives Glasgow a real fixtures congestion headache. They have already had to rearrange their Champions Cup match with Racing 92.

A statement on the Glasgow website read: "The pitch at Scotstoun Stadium is unplayable due to surface water and there is a concern for both players and supporters safety given the adverse weather conditions.

"Supporters should retain their tickets which were issued for today's match as they will be valid for the rearranged fixture.

"Further information including the date and time of the rescheduled fixture will be communicated when it has been confirmed.
