New Zealand flanker Sam Cane and centre Malakai Fekitoa have both been cited following the All Blacks’ bruising 21-9 win over Ireland in Dublin on Saturday.

Cane, who has already been ruled out of next weekend's Test against France due to an ankle injury, was cited for his tackle on Robbie Henshaw which led to the Irish centre being carted off with a head injury.

Fekitoa, who scored two tries during the game, has been cited for a high tackle on Simon Zebo which resulted in him receiving a yellow card from referee Jaco Peyper during the second half.

New Zealand coach Steve Hansen addressed both incidents in his post-match press conference.

"Obviously the discipline has got to improve," Hansen admitted. "The Rob Henshaw tackle was a head clash.

"I just reviewed it again there this morning and they have collided heads. It wasn't a high tackle so he was knocked out as soon as they knocked heads but Mala (Fekitoa)'s one was high.

"He just needs to have a look at that. It's clumsy and it's not the way we want to play. He will be spoken to but it was a physical Test match."

Disciplinary hearings for the two players will be held in the next two days in front of independent disciplinary committees of three.

England's Joe Launchbury and Argentine fly-half Nicolas Sanchez have also been cited for alleged foul play following the weekend's Autumn Internationals.
