Leicester centre Manu Tuilagi has been replaced in the England training camp by Bath's Semesa Rokoduguni after he suffered a knee injury against Saracens on Sunday.

The 25-year-old, who has only just returned to action after a lengthy lay-off due to a groin problem, hobbled off after just eight minutes of the 16-12 home loss to Saracens in the Aviva Premiership.

Watched by England coach Eddie Jones, Tuilagi, who has just been recalled to the national team's training squad, picked up the injury when he fell awkwardly after a double tackle.

Speaking shortly after the game, Leicester director of rugby Richard Cockerill said Tuilagi would be assessed after the injury has settled down.

"He got a bang on the outside of his right knee and we don't know the extent of the injury yet," said Cockerill.

"His groin is feeling great so that's one good thing, there's always a positive.

"It's disappointing because he is important to us."

Meanwhile, Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall says winger Chris Ashton will miss the game against Exeter after
suffering concussion in a clash of heads with Tom Brady.

He was also disappointed that full-back Alex Goode had not made the England squad, adding: "Alex was the Premiership player of the season last season, the best full-back in the Premiership.

"It's disappointing for Alex. He seems to be okay but he's disappointed."
