Bryan Redpath has hailed Gloucester's 39-10 Boxing Day demolition of Wasps as his side's best performance of the season.
The coach also singled out fly-half Freddie Burns and Henry Trinder for special praised after the inexperienced pair both produced impressive performances at Kingsholm.
"That was the best we've performed all season," said Redpath. "It's all about confidence.
"We've had two wins over Connacht, albeit scrappy ones, but today we were all singing from the same sheet and played with far greater control.
"They (Burns and Trinder) are the future, they will have bad days and they will need to learn from them but our pack were exceptional today to give them the platform they needed."
Tougher assignment
Redpath however, admitted that Gloucester's next match, a trip to Saracens on New Year's Day, would be a tougher assignment.
"We mustn't over react and get carried away. Saracens are the best defensive side in the league and the best organised," he added.
Former England skipper Mike Tindall was present at Kingsholm but did not play and the coach confirmed that he had not selected that the World Cup-winning centre for the match.
He added: "(Tindall) subsequently picked up an illness but was not in the selected side. I wanted to use Henry Trinder's left foot in midfield and Mike will have to fight for his place like everyone else."
Wasps coach Dai Young, accepted his side had been firmly put in their place by the West Country outfit.
Dominant
"They were a far better team than us," he said. "We didn't help ourselves as we made too many fundamental mistakes.
"They were much more physically dominant than us and we didn't have the artillery to match them." Wasps, who are struggling with injuries, now face an important home clash against fellow strugglers Worcester.
"Most of our injured players will not be returning for two to three weeks," Young added. "Dom Waldouck and Jonathan Poff may return for the Worcester game.
"But a few of our young forwards are being asked to play more regularly in the first 11 than they should do due to these injuries."
