Prop Tom Smallbone has signed a two-year contract extension with London Irish.

The 22-year-old has been with the Aviva Premiership club since the age of four, when he first joined the London Irish Amateur Club, and he became part of their Elite Player Development group 10 years later.

Smallbone has played for England at U18 and U20 and was part of the World Junior Championship winning side in 2013.

He has made 12 senior appearances so far and been an ever-present in the London Irish squad this season since an impressive run of performances in pre-season.

Smallbone said: "I am delighted to have committed my future to London Irish. I have had a very long association with this club and I am very excited for the future and the direction the club is heading."
