France flanker Antoine Burban has been ruled out of the final two Six Nations matches due to a head injury.

The Stade Francais man has been replaced in an expanded 30-man training squad by uncapped La Rochelle 26-year-old Kevin Gourdon.

Burban, 28, picked up his fourth cap against Wales in Cardiff on February 26 but was forced off after 52 minutes of the 19-10 loss and looked groggy as he left the field.

He was able to play for the French champions against Pau on Saturday but took another knock to the head in that Top 14 encounter.

And the France team released a statement on Monday saying: "Due to a trauma suffered this weekend and after a test requested by France and club (Stade Francais) medical staff, the club neurologist ordered a two-week period of rest."

Burban will sit out Sunday's match against Scotland at Murrayfield and a potential tournament decider against England in Paris on March 19.
