Last week in Super Rugby the Jaguares hammered the Kings 73-27 and the Hurricanes dished out a 50-17 thrashing of the Lions at Ellis Park, but it wasn't just on the scoreboard that teams took a pounding.
Often it's the forwards picking out backs that produces the biggest hits of the round, but this week there are plenty of backs getting their fill of shuddering tackles.
Tomas Cubelli got one back for the smaller men as the scrum-half put in a huge try-saving tackle on Highlanders' big winger Patrick Osborne.
It was a narrow loss for the Sharks as they went down 24-22 to the Chiefs in Hamilton, but there was something to cheer about as centre Andre Esterhuizen put in a big hit on All Black fly-half Aaron Cruden.
