From all three European leagues in the PRO12, Aviva Premiership and Top 14, to the European Cup, 2016 November internationals, 2017 Six Nations, 2017 summer tours and British and Irish Lions series to New Zealand, we've left nothing out in a devilishly hard test.

It's been a phenomenal year of northern hemisphere rugby from August right through to July.

Scarlets, Clermont and the Exeter Chiefs each claimed domestic league titles, while Saracens picked up a second consecutive European Cup.

Ireland beat New Zealand for the first time ever in November in a stunning game in Chicago, while Eddie Jones' England again romped to the Six Nations title, but failed at the last hurdle in Dublin in their Grand Slam and world record attempt.

To close the season the Lions faced the biggest challenge of their lives against the double world champions All Blacks in New Zealand, pushing Steve Hansen's charges all the way in a historic drawn series.
