Connacht's tight forwards, a future England star and Dan Carter feature in our team of the week.

15. Rob Miller (Wasps)

Miller carried the ball more than any of the Wasps backs and made the most metres for the team in their 24-11 win over Northampton at Franklin's Gardens. The full-back had a hand in each of the three Wasps tries on the day.

His offload released Josh Bassett which led to Wasps' first try, before the full-back single-handedly scored the second after bursting through attempted tackles from Sam Dickinson and Tom Kessell.

The third came when he received a kick inside his own half and he ghosted through the Saints defence before drawing the full-back and passing to Bassett for the score.

14. Juan Imhoff (Racing 92)

It was a good World Cup for Juan Imhoff last year and he has continued that in the Top 14 with Racing.

The Argentina international has also been causing havoc in the Champions Cup, but helped Racing ensure they started this week at the peak of the Top 14 table with yet another try as the defeated Oyonnax to remain top of the standings.

13. Robbie Henshaw (Connacht)

It was a dogged affair as Connacht saw off Scarlets 30-17 in Galway, and it was the forwards who saw most of the action, but Henshaw was a stand-out performer in the home side's midfield.

Henshaw put in 11 tackles to go with centre partner Bundee Aki's nine, and made 12 carries for 91 metres - the top performer in both categories for the Irish side on the day.

12. Sam Tuitupou (Sale)

An incredibly impressive performance from the midfielder who put in 11 tackles, and most of them will still be felt by the London Irish players throughout this week.

The centre sent Sam James over for his try and scored one of his own to cap an influential day at the office as Sale thrashed the Exiles 38-10.

11. James Short (Exeter)

Short continued his superb run of form with a try in Exeter's 30-15 win over Worcester Warriors. The wing had an easy job of finishing an opportunity on two minutes created by a simple draw and pass, but he created his side's second with a brilliant line off a planned move.

The winger beat seven defenders, more than double the amount of the next best Chiefs player.

10. Dan Carter (Racing 92)

Dan Carter opened his account for Racing 92 with this try against Oyonnax in their 26-3 win

Try keeping this man out of the spotlight. He's steered Racing 92 to a Champions Cup quarter-final where his side faces Toulon in April, and over the weekend he scored his first try for his side.

A deft chip was latched onto by Johan Goosen and he was on hand to support the full-back and scamper over for a maiden five-pointer for the French powerhouse.

9. Sebastien Bezy (Toulouse)

So often in the Top 14 the scrum-half ends up kicking for poles, but on Saturday Bezy took it upon himself to score the tries.

He was a livewire at the base of the rucks and mauls and crossed the whitewash twice as Toulouse demolished Pau.

1. Denis Buckley (Connacht)

If Muldowney dominated the lineout in Galway, it was Buckley who dominated the scrum. The loosehead prop demolished the Scarlets front row along with his colleagues, with Scarlets eventually reduced to 14 men due to the infringements.

Buckley was also on hand to score a try on the back of a driving maul, something that featured heavily in Connacht's victory.

2. Rob Webber (Bath)

Bath's lineout was impressive at Allianz Park, and at times the scrum dominated. Teams that play Saracens often say that you know what you're going to get from Mark McCall's men, but it's still very difficult to stop.

On Saturday, the Bath hooker was very good at playing Saracens at their own game as he made a nuisance of himself in the scrums and the loose.

Webber announced on Monday he's leaving Bath for Sale, which will bolster the Sharks front row with Brian Mujati already causing trouble for opposition front rows.

3. Logovi'i Mulipola (Leicester)

Image: Logovi'i Mulipola scored the try that set up the match-winning conversion

The tighthead only played 20 minutes of Leicester's 19-18 win over Gloucester, but how often do props get to be the heroes and score the match-winning try? With two minutes remaining and Tigers trailing by six points, Mulipola received the ball in the midfield near the Gloucester line and cantered over for the score.

If you ask the Samoan about that try in five years' time he will probably recall that it was Leicester who were 14 men down and that he ran the length of the field carrying all of Gloucester and the team physios on his back, but he certainly deserves his time at the top for giving Tommy Bell a chance to win it with a steely conversion.

4. Maro Itoje (Saracens)

It really won't be long before this man is a regular in the England team. The second rower was thoroughly deserving of yet another man of the match award as Saracens came from behind to beat Bath.

Itoje made seven tackles and won one turnover but it was in attack where he really dazzled. He made 51 metres from 14 carries, beating five defenders.

5. Aly Muldowney (Connacht)

Image: Connacht's Aly Muldowney (right) was superb at the lineout

As it was a day for the forwards, clinical set piece was the order of the day, and Muldowney provided that for his team as he took seven throws at the lineout. He was also exceptional in the loose, working hard to keep Scarlets' hands off the Connacht ball.

The lock was also tied with Eoghan Masterson for the most tackles put in by a Connacht player, with 14 hits on the Welshmen.

6. Luke Wallace (Harlequins)

Image: Luke Wallace was impressive despite Quins' defeat

Harlequins may have suffered a defeat at the hands of Newcastle, but the London club were still effective when the ball hit the deck.

Wallace was responsible for plenty of nuisance when Falcons players were tackled with the ball.

7. Francois Louw (Bath)

19-13 loss for Bath at the hands of Saracens but their Springbok fetcher was in fine form. He was a menace at the breakdown and would have won man of the match if Maro Itoje had never been born.

Louw won the ball on the ground throughout the game and it was his work that kept Saracens possession to a minimum as they remained scoreless in the first half.

Bath were not able to squash the fightback from Saracens in the second half but it was still a good day for the skipper in terms of personal performance.

8. Manoa Vosawai (Cardiff Blues)

Highlights of the PRO12 round 13 clash between Cardiff Blues and Edinburgh

The top of Vosawai's contribution was with ball in hand. The big No 8 ran with the ball 26 times, with the second best in this department for the Blues contributing 11 runs.

He was also ferocious in the loose, disrupting proceedings for Edinburgh and took four catches in the lineout - more than any of his team-mates as the Blues edged Edinburgh 10-3.
