England lock George Kruis has been cited for an alleged biting offence while playing for Saracens on Saturday.

Kruis is alleged to have bitten Bath prop David Wilson, a fellow England squad member, during an incident that saw Wilson cited for allegedly making contact with the lock's eye area.

Both players will appear before a three-person RFU disciplinary panel, chaired by Christopher Quinlan QC, on Tuesday evening in Bristol.

They will answer charges of committing acts contrary to good sportsmanship contrary to Law 10.4(m).

The charges carry strong sanctions if players are found guilty, with the lower end suspension standing at 12 weeks, which would end Kruis' season and his hopes of an England place on the June tour to Australia.
