Jenna Brooks wraps up all the big stories coming out of the NRL, as Cronulla break a club record, plus all the transfer news including Thomas Leuluai's return to the UK.

Semi Radradra

On Thursday night Semi Radradra returned to Sydney from an extended break in Fiji, to waiting police. Radradra was charged with domestic violence offences, following accusations by his former partner.

Just 24 hours later, the Parramatta winger was selected to play against Cronulla. The Eels star, who has been linked with a move to French rugby union side Bordeaux, was constantly heckled by Sharks supporters.

Radradra is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.

Sharks success

Is 2016 the year that Cronulla end their 48-year premiership drought?

The Sharks success continues. They came from 18-0 down to score 34 points in under an hour and beat Parramatta 34-24. The win was a club record 12th in a row.

Sharks captain, Paul Gallen was asked if it was the best Cronulla side ever: "I'm not sure," he said. "We have a special side. We know that. But as a playing group we just have to play week to week."

The big test for Cronulla will be on Sunday when they play at Penrith. The Sharks could have up to six of their key players absent for State of Origin duties, with the Panthers likely to be missing just one.

NRL players to return

Image: Thomas Leuluai heading back to Wigan

I first reported Thomas Leuluai was returning to Super League in May. On Sunday, it was confirmed that Leuluai re-signed with the Wigan Warriors for the 2017 season. The club have promised Leuluai a coaching role once he completes his playing career.

We first linked Jamie Soward with a return to the UK in March and last week the playmaker confirmed he would see out the 2016 season with London.

Soward, who was released from his contract with the Panthers last week, made nine appearances for the Broncos in 2013 and we understand the 31-year old has signed a two-year deal with a Super League club from next season.

Soward isn't the only NRL player returning to the UK. Bradford have signed former Hull KR halfback Dane Chisholm from the Canterbury Bulldogs until the end of 2017.

Sky sources also believe former London Bronco Feleti Mateo could be on his way to Wakefield for 2017.

The Tonga international would bring a wealth of experience to the Wildcats, with 12 years of first-grade football. The Manly lock joined Parramatta in 2004, before spending the following year in London. The 32-year-old returned to the Eels for four seasons, before moving to the Warriors. He then joined Manly in 2015.

Mateo's Manly team-mate, Tony Satini has also been linked with a move to Castleford. Satini, who plays at centre for the Sea Eagles, would replace Ben Roberts, who is out for the season with a foot injury.

Huddersfield boss

According to Sky Sources, the top four candidates to take charge in Huddersfield are; Garth Brennan, Nathan Brown, David Furner and Brett Hodgson.

Garth Brennan has been the assistant coach at Penrith since the end of 2015. Before that he coached the Panthers to premiership titles in the under-20s and the NSW Cup. Brennan has recently received huge praise from rugby league legend Phil Gould, who has mentored him for five years.

Brown is the current man in charge in Newcastle, but his Knights are at the bottom of the NRL, having won just one game all season. Brown has a brilliant track record in Super League. In 2009, his first season as coach of the Giants, he led Huddersfield to the Challenge Cup final. He also led St Helens to the League Leaders Shield and then onto victory in the Grand Final in 2014. Brown is in the first year of a three-year contract with the Knights, but might he fancy a return to the UK where he tasted so much success?

David Furner is also familiar with Super League. He spent four years playing in the UK for both Wigan and Leeds. In 2009 he was named the coach of Canberra. He spent five years with the Raiders, and is currently North Queensland's assistant coach.

The fourth man linked with the top job is the Giants former full-back, Brett Hodgson. Hodgson, who was the 2009 Man of Steel, is the current assistant at Widnes, working alongside Denis Betts.

Huddersfield are hoping to make the appointment before the start of the middle eights.

Bennett's denial

Wayne Bennett has dismissed reports he is trying to poach NRL stars to play for England, calling it "a cheap story".

It's been suggested Brett and Josh Morris, as well as Trent Hodkinson could be considering an England switch. But Bennett has pleaded ignorance, which is interesting because Hodkinson has confirmed he has spoken to Bennett about the prospect of playing for England.

Meanwhile Bennet's Broncos have suffered a sixth loss in eight games. Brisbane were beaten 48-6 by Melbourne, in what was their worst defeat at Suncorp Stadium.
