Albert Kelly and Marc Sneyd are back in contention for Hull FC when they host Castleford Tigers in Friday night's Coral Challenge Cup sixth-round tie, live on Sky Sports Arena.

The half-back pairing both missed last Friday's 37-6 defeat at home to cup holders Catalans Dragons with knee and arm injuries respectively, but have since recovered and go straight into head coach Lee Radford's 19-man squad.

There is a welcome return for Ratu Naulago as well, who was unable to play against the Catalans after being called into the Army rugby union squad for their annual showdown with the Navy at Twickenham last Saturday.

Dean Hadley and Camron Scott are both available after their mandatory rest period following concussions, and Radford, who guided Hull to Challenge Cup triumphs in 2016 and 2017, is eager to see his side make amends for the manner of that loss to the French outfit.

"There has been some good stuff, some average stuff and some awful stuff too, and (the defeat to the Catalans) is with the latter," Radford said.

"Losing is part of the game, but so is response. We've tended to do that this season, but we've got to do that (against Castleford)."

Hull are without Jamie Shaul due to concussion protocols, and Carlos Tuimavave, Andre Savelio, Matty-Dawson Jones, Jez Litten, Jordan Lane, Jack Brown, Danny Washbrook, Jack Sanderson and Charlie Patterson-Lund are all injured.

Castleford head coach Daryl Powell makes four changes to his 19-man squad following last Friday's 26-14 loss at home to Warrington Wolves in Super League.

Winger Greg Eden, who started in that match, is one of those who has been omitted from the initial squad along with Lewis Peachey. Paul McShane and Daniel Smith are out too as a result of the injuries they sustained against Warrington.

However, James Clare, Jesse Sene-Lefao, Matt Cook and Jordan Rankin have all recovered from injury and come straight back into contention for Castleford, with Powell aiming for his side to rebound from three consecutive defeats.

"It's tough at the moment, but every team goes through periods where things don't go your way," said Powell.

"The strength of character is how you respond to that and I think we're responding in a positive way.

"The players are working exceptionally hard and we'd want a few more things to go our way and a few players to play a little bit better, but we're working so hard to make that happen."
