James Graham will miss England's Four Nations clash with Scotland on Saturday but his absence is expected to be a short one.

Vice-captain Graham, who now plays in the NRL for the Canterbury Bulldogs, has a knee injury but coach Wayne Bennett hopes to have him back for the crunch clash with Australia at the Olympic Stadium on November 13.

But Graham is the only major absentee for Bennett to replace against the Bravehearts, with captain Sam Burgess set to figure despite nursing a sore side.

"James Graham is the only one who won't be available for selection this weekend," Bennett told a press conference at the England team hotel in Birmingham.

"He's got a small medial tear. It's not serious, he should be right next week."

Bennett has brought Wigan duo George Williams and Liam Farrell into his squad after they missed out on the 19-man party for last Saturday's clash with New Zealand, which ended in an agonising 17-16 defeat for Bennett's men.

"I'm not going to make too many changes," he said. "I want to give everybody in the squad a game so I'll make sure I do that this weekend. Stevie Ward is the only one who won't."

And Bennett was pleased to see his squad look so positive as they met up on Tuesday ahead of their meeting with Steve McCormack's Scotland, the first game of a mouthwatering double-header at Coventry's Ricoh Arena.

Their 5:30pm kick-off is followed at 8pm by a clash between Australia and New Zealand, a potentially trophy decider.

"Everybody turned up in good spirits today," Bennett added. "We had a good training session.

"I've had enough losses in my life to be able to handle them and help players handle them. It is what it is, we can't change it. We've moved on. We'll just look forward to the next time we play them.

"What we want is another game playing together to get used to each other, that's the key. We did a lot of things right at the weekend so we're not way behind the eight-ball. We've just got to tidy up in a few areas.

"The number one thing in what we do is not beat yourself. We beat ourselves on the weekend.

"Structure wise, the way we defended and the way we attacked was all fine, some of our decision-making has got to be better. You can only get that by playing more games and being under more pressure."
