Hull KR forward Chris Clarkson has been charged with a Grade D dangerous throw in his side's 31-12 Betfred Super League win over Widnes.
Clarkson was given a yellow card on 45 minutes for a dangerous tackle on Rhys Hanbury.
The Rugby Football League's match review panel referred the 28-year-old former Leeds second rower to an independent operational rules tribunal on Tuesday.
If found guilty, Clarkson would be facing a ban of three to five matches.
Hull KR sit ninth in Super League with three wins from their first 10 games. They travel to third-placed Warrington Wolves on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Widnes prop Wellington Albert has received a caution for use of knees in the same game.
