Wakefield forward Tinirau Arona has been charged with a grade A offence of kicking out during the 36-8 win over Widnes.
Arona has the option of submitting an early guilty plea which would clear him to play in Sunday's top-six match against St Helens.
He was the only player to be charged by the Rugby Football League's match review panel following the penultimate round of fixtures in the regular Betfred Super League season, although Wigan winger Joe Burgess was issued with a caution for pulling the hair of Warrington forward Ashton Sims.
Wakefield are fourth in the table ahead of Sunday's match while St Helens are sixth.
