Wakefield have announced the signing of winger Mason Caton-Brown on a two-year deal from Salford.

Caton-Brown, who was out of contract at the AJ Bell Stadium at the end of this season, will join Wildcats' manager Chris Chester's squad for the start of pre-season training at the end of the year.

"Mason will be a great addition to Wakefield," Chester said. "He is a quick and powerful player. It is a great signing for us and it will give us fresh competition in the outside backs which is great for us as a club."

Caton-Brown started his professional career at London Broncos before going on dual-registration to Hemel Stags in 2013.

After leaving the Broncos in 2014 the 23-year-old signed for Salford on a two-and-a-half year deal and made 37 appearances, scoring 11 tries in his last seven matches for the Red Devils
