Warrington captain Chris Hill feels the race for Super League's top spot is back on.
Wolves coach Tony Smith appeared to suggest he could sacrifice the League Leaders' Shield to focus on the Challenge Cup final and end-of-season play-offs after losing to St Helens last week.
But since then both leaders Hull and second-placed Wigan have been beaten by Castleford in an intriguing start to the Super 8s phase of the season.
Warrington can now move back into second, just a point off the summit, with victory in their game in hand at Wakefield on Sunday.
Hill said: "It is all to play for. There could only be a point in it. It's not like we are four or six away. We want to win this week and if we win all our games we finish top.
"We're still looking at that number one spot and at the minute it's still all guns blazing. We're still well in with a chance of winning the league and the Challenge Cup, and hopefully the Grand Final."
Warrington ran out 56-12 winners when they last met Wakefield in the Challenge Cup semi-finals just a fortnight ago.
The Wildcats were then thrashed 60-12 by Wigan last week but Hill has warned not to expect another stroll.
The former Leigh prop said: "We gave them a good hammering in the semis but they are a dangerous side if you let them play.
"They may be wounded and I think they will come out fighting. They have got some dangerous players so we have got to be careful."
The Qualifiers, or 'middle eights', also continue on Sunday with Huddersfield coming up against their former head coach Jon Sharp and his Featherstone side while London Broncos host Batley.
All four of those sides were beaten in their opening matches of the section last weekend.
Huddersfield, with their Super League status at stake, will be particularly keen to get off the mark and should be confident against a Rovers side overpowered 62-6 by Leeds.
The Giants, however, will have to make do without playmaker Danny Brough, who is beginning a two-match suspension for striking Salford's Logan Tomkins with his elbow.
Giants coach Rick Stone said: "Fev will come ready to play. We have just got to keep it simple and not complicate things too much, which we have been guilty of. Hopefully we can see a bit more sting in our line speed and aggression in our defence."
For London and Batley, both pushing for promotion from the Championship, the match offers a chance to put pressure on the Super League sides.
Broncos coach Andrew Henderson said: "We have proved we are capable of competing with the best of the best in this competition, but understand we need to concentrate, be patient and be disciplined for 80 minutes in order to secure victory."
