Jordan Thompson joined Jon Wells at the touchscreen after his side's impressive win over Salford

Jordan Thompson joined Jon Wells at the touchscreen after Hull FC's impressive 34-10 win over Salford on Friday.

The victory at the AJ Bell Stadium saw the Black and Whites climb to third in the Betfred Super League table, having sat in fifth going into the match, four first-half tries giving Lee Radford's men a commanding 22-0 lead at the break.

Salford got themselves on the scoreboard in the second-half through tries from Niall Evalds and Weller Huraki but the visitors sealed the victory with two further scores of their own, never letting their opponents within touching distance.

Ahead of the match, head coach Radford was keen for his side to show Salford what they are capable of following a 54-18 dubbing at the KCOM Stadium in the reverse fixture in April something that was picked up by Thompson at the touchscreen. With just four league games remaining before the start of the Super 8s, the Hull man issued a warning that his side's form will only continue.

"Rads [Hull boss Lee Radford] was banging on about Salford not seeing the best of us and we need to turn up across the board and luckily tonight the boys did,' Thompson told Wells post-match.

"That's what we are looking to do and looking to build on. Obviously, after the Wigan win we got confidence and then coming here it's going to stand us in good stead."
