Queensland forward Chris McQueen has said he wants to play for England.
The 26-year-old Gold Coast Titans' back-rower is the latest Australia-born player to be linked with England, since Wayne Bennett's appointment as coach.
The State of Origin player admitted: "Being coached by Wayne would be a great experience. He's done it all and I could learn plenty from him, so that's another reason I'd love to play for England.
"My old man was born in England and lived there until he was 10. His whole family are from England and they moved out here in 1969. But they are still proud Poms.
"When I played for Queensland, dad was right behind me but if I pulled an England jersey on, my whole family would be proud."
McQueen has made six appearances for Queensland in the State of Origin match, while another Australia-born player connected with England is Blake Austin.
Austin said: "I do qualify through my grandmother but that's about as far as it's gone. No one's asked me or anything like that yet. You cross your bridges when you get to them if they come.
"But, at the moment, I'm just focusing on the Raiders and playing better footy each week."
New coach Bennett will be at the helm for the 2016 Four Nations Series, as well as next year's World Cup.
